Creativity is a hard thing to make a living from and while I have been fortunate enough to earn some sort of an income designing graphics and web sites, there are other areas of interest that rarely get a look in. I still have a lot to learn and a lot of practice to put in, which will ultimately be the content of this art blog.
One of the key things that inspires me is seeing what others are working on and how they are learning, progressing, and developing their art over time. It's this sharing that makes for something of a collaborative development process that we all feed on creatively. With that in mind, I'd like to share with you my own journey through all things artistic and creative, so that we might have more inspiration to draw from and a record of where we've been.
At the very least I intend to use this as a sort of creative journal to motivate me into action. It can be too easy to sit back and zone out when you could be creating something or practicing a technique. Having a journal/blog to fill could be a good reason to get stuff done, even if it's just trying out a new piece of software or shading an object.
So thanks for stopping by and I hope that whatever follows will be at least a little bit interesting.
