I've been listening to a lot of pop music lately, which always manages to take me to an atmosphere ready to be filled with productive activity. I don't know the why or how of it all, but that's what I love about music in general; as it always finishes off any state of mind with smooth edges and tight limits.

So this dude is basically a common exercise of drawing something without lifting the pen. Ideally I'd like to get into more of a regular practice of drawing subjects without looking at the page. We did this a lot when I was studying, and it really does highlight the importance of getting your head and your hand in sync. It's like a breathing meditation where you need to concentrate on different aspects of the experience and ensure there's balance in the physical task of creation.

Another day I'd like to expand on some metaphysical abstract art and see what kind of interpretive creations appear. My favourite genre is always somewhere In the abstract, as it elicits ethereal interpretation, which I think is damn cool no matter what you say. This is just a doodle, but it's looking beyond itself.

Not sure about this happy bugger, as he doesn't really come from anything at all. Although I'm sure there's something seeping in from somewhere, as we're all a slave to the subconscious who loves a bit of plagiarism. Either way this dude is a wobbly kind of dude, so maybe a sit down is in order.

Again, not sure of the origin, but I like big chinned, heavy browed, brothers. This is a good example of the purpose of a doodles, as it looks nothing like the thought in my head. However, seeing it again and again continually recreates that thought. Thus, it does its job as a quick record of a thought that may become more in the future.

I'm not even going to hint at who this was supposed to be, as it looks nothing like them. Even the gender is a bit ambiguous, which is fine in itself, but not when you were actually trying to draw someone in particular. What I like about this either way is that it came out in a different style than my usual attempts at people's faces. There are some little bits and pieces that I like and will try and implement some more in the future.

You look so pretty, yeah"
