The time has finally come where I can share some more about this large project that I've been working on for almost a year. It's still a little early, but there are a few things happening this week that require the cat to be let out of the bag. While I intend to provide a bunch of details about the project, this is also going to be a bit more candid than most of the public facing details will be. It's a blog after all isn't it?
After approximately two years of sketchbook doodles, it's time for a change.
Let's talk resolutions, because why not? I don't usually go in for the whole New Year thing very much, as it's just as arbitrary as anything else, but change it always good in my book. Why not use the calendar to mark an occasion for change… maybe it can do some good.
Honestly, I almost forgot to write and post this week's sketchbook, but not for any reason that will sound impressive. In fact, I was too busy finishing off a game, and watching a movie. I was actually super prepared and already have my doodles scanned and ready to post; it's just the written part that slipped my mind.
Sometimes you need to take a moment to reassess a project and use the experiences you’ve had along the way to improve on the initial brief. It helps avoid any unnecessary complications, as well as breathing new life into something. The latter is especially important for long-form projects, like these weekly doodles and posts.
We've finally reached that magic number marking an entire year's worth of entries. Hence,. It's now time to see if anything has been accomplished, and where we're heading in the future. What resolutions can be teased from a proper look into the past.
Ooh la la, it's only one week until a full year of weekly doodles passes us by. The best part of any anniversary is if it arrives along with good timing and motivation, which I'm happy to say this one seems to be on track for.
